MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS

These programs are for people interested in the Florist business or who are just starting their business. Several years ago I had just gotten back from backpacking SE Asia for a few months and was working at a coffee shop when I became friends with one of our regulars, Sarah. Sarah was a powerhouse of a woman, running her own floral business while working full time as a nurse and going to school to become a nurse practitioner. Sarah saw something in me that I didn’t know existed and she convinced me to try floristry with her. So one day she took me to the wholesaler, we bought a ton of product and she watched me put together a few bouquets and insisted that I had talent. That whole summer I shadowed Sarah every weekend, learning everything I could about running a business and designing florals for weddings. I will forever credit this path that I am on to Sarah. Never in a million years did I think I’d ever start a business but here I am and if it wasn’t for the people who helped me along the way, I would never be where I am now. I want to share everything I know with you, all the tips & tricks that I’ve learned along the way that allowed me to go full time in my floral business on my first ever season.

PICK MY BRAIN - $150

Two hour face time call or coffee date where you can ask me any and all questions that you may have. I’m an open book so no subject or question is off limits. I can share with you how I run my business, my processes, ordering, pricing, design tips, etc. This call/meeting is for you, so come prepared with topics & questions so you can get as much information as possible. I am also open to in person design lessons as well in Cle Elum, WA.

HANDS-ON REAL EXPERIENCE

I believe that the best way to learn anything is do get some real life hands-on experience & that’s exactly how I learned from Sarah. Weddings are complex and require tons of planning and quick thinking & strategy in the real live moments on event days that simply can not be taught without experiencing it. If you are interested in learning right beside me throughout the process, join my freelancing program. My freelancing program allows you to pick dates from my calendar of events that you are interested in shadowing & assisting me with. For each event that you commit to, I will give you a copy of my ordering sheet, invoice with the client, as well as break down the design process for every piece that we create together. You can choose to help with prep days leading up the event, events days, or both. This program is meant to be a trade; assistance for me in exchange for experience & education for you.

When I drove up to the house where the elopement was to drop off the flowers, Olivia was outside on the deck finishing up her vows. It really reminded me how cool it is to create art for people’s wedding days. Dana came out to greet me as well
